FACTORY BUILT HOUSING IS FAILING SAN FRANCISCO

ABOUT THE HONEST BUILDERS COALITION

The Honest Builders Coalition exists to bring attention to factory built housing and how it’s failing San Francisco. Our Coalition is fighting for high building quality standards, the safety of residents, and investment in to a certified skilled and trained workforce.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH FBH

Factory Built Housing is built by minimally trained factory workers. It is not legally required to comply with local building code standards and green building codes. Private third-party inspectors look at only a fraction of the units, which may not be inspected by local authorities. The result is sub-standard construction that increases the risks of safety hazards, extra costs, and project delays.
